Fast self-portrait

Project details

2018 Salzburg International Summeracademy of Fine Arts: This year at Summer Academy I was focusing on a more faster approach. One of my first works there was this portrait painting. The aim was to capture the figure very fast and set up some quick outlines to roughly define the head.

After that, bravely drawing any fat shapes, to get an overview of the basic structure of the head. Finishing the portrait with large self-confident brush strokes and shapes. Stopping after not even two hours to not overdo it.
