Looking for a starting point for my course at Summeracademy 2018, I made this warm-up piece. I just randomly picked a smartphone photo that I shot accidently. I forced myself to take a quicker painting approach. The aim was to capture the figure very quickly and make a few quick outlines to roughly define the head and background. The difficulty here is to foreshorten the whole head, neck, and chest. I tried to use wide brushes so as not to think too much about details. I think after two hours it was done.
