Another commissioned portrait painting in oil on a 40 x 30 cm wood panel corpus. I started to analyze the basic structure of the head with digital photo material and started with a so-called grisaille with roughly grayscale values and forms. After that, I brought in some basic color values on the base of the black and white underpainting. To avoid too much refining I forced myself to complete the piece after three sessions.
