My first concept for a painting with two panels – a kind of Diptychon. After painting for a while, I realized that formats of around 120 x 80 cm are easy to handle for one person. So it was more of a practical consideration to divide the subject idea into two parts. Ultimately, however, the two works can also stand alone or be positioned at a greater distance from each other.
